1. The Authority of Scripture

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and sufficient Word of God. The New Testament is our complete and final authority for faith, doctrine, and practice. We reject creeds and traditions of men that go beyond or contradict Scripture.

2. The Nature of God

We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in essence, power, and glory, yet distinct in person and role.

3. Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will return.

4. Salvation

Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It involves hearing the gospel, believing, repenting of sins, confessing Christ, and being baptized into Christ for the forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-4; Galatians 3:27).

5. Baptism and Accountability

We believe baptism is immersion in water of a penitent believer. We carefully study the New Testament teaching on when a person becomes morally accountable and ready for baptism. Children who have not reached this point of accountability are safe in Christ.

6. The Church

The church is the body of Christ, composed of all who have been saved according to the New Testament pattern. We seek to restore the organization, worship, and work of the church as revealed in Scripture — independent local congregations under Christ as Head.

7. Worship

New Testament worship includes singing (a cappella), prayer, teaching, the Lord’s Supper on the first day of the week, and giving. We reject the addition of instrumental music and other practices not authorized in the New Testament.
